RECOSAFE – Social Safety Network
Social Safety Network refers to a network or system of programs, initiatives, and resources aimed at promoting social well-being and safety through education, awareness, and prevention efforts. This network would focus on raising awareness about various social issues and risks, such as sexual relations, smoking, bullying, and other harmful behaviors, to empower individuals to make informed decisions, protect themselves, and seek help when needed.
This includes:
• Public awareness programs: Educational programs and outreach efforts to inform the public about social issues, risks, and preventive measures through media, community events, and online platforms
• Community empowerment
• Launching campaigns to combat social vices through screening family-friendly movies
Vocational Training Programs
Vocational training programs are educational programs that focus on providing practical skills and knowledge related to specific trades, professions, or industries. These programs are designed to prepare individuals for employment in a particular field and to enhance their existing skills to advance in their careers. Vocational training programs typically offer hands-on training, technical instruction, and real-world experience. The goal of vocational training programs is to equip individuals with the skills, competencies, and certifications needed to enter the workforce with confidence and succeed in their chosen career paths. Some of our key initiatives in this regard include but not limited to training courses in manufacturing and crafts such as:
• RECOBEES Beekeeping Course
• RECOZELLA (Cheese making factory)
• Supporting women to participate in rural exhibitions in various regions
• Workshop on “Drying Fruits, Herbs, and Vegetables.
• Workshop on “Fundamentals of Photography for Youth.”
• Hosting a year-long training course for more than 100 women in beekeeping, focusing on “Establishing and Managing Beehives”
• Crochet workshop.

Sustainable Solid Waste Management
Sustainable solid waste management refers to the efficient and environmentally responsible handling of solid waste throughout its lifecycle, from generation to disposal. It involves practices aimed at reducing, reusing, recycling, and properly disposing of solid waste to minimize its impact on the environment and public health while promoting resource conservation and sustainable development. Key components of sustainable solid waste management include but not limited to source waste segregation, composting, and recycling. The goal is to create a closed-loop system where waste is viewed as a resource and managed in a manner that minimizes its environmental footprint. we have actively led initiatives and organized events focused on promoting sustainable solid waste management practices. Some of our key initiatives in this regard include:
• Leading public awareness campaigns to educate communities about the importance of waste segregation, recycling, and proper disposal methods
• Conducting training for composting organic waste and promoting the use of compost in gardening and agriculture
• Advocating for policy changes and regulations that prioritize sustainable waste management practices and encourage waste reduction and recycling at the local and national levels
• Establishing and maintaining clean segregated waste collection centers in various Rashaya towns. These centers serve as essential hubs for residents to properly separate and dispose of their waste in return for a compensation while promoting recycling and reducing environmental pollution. Through these centers, we aim to facilitate convenient and responsible waste management practices, ultimately contributing to a cleaner and healthier environment.
Ecotourism Program
The Ecotourism Program focuses on encouraging ecotourism and organizing events and activities aimed at promoting sustainable tourism practices and facilitating eco-friendly travel experiences. Some of which are:
• Al-Wastani Project
• Tourism guidance course
• RECOTOUR
• Organizing the enlightenment trip.
• Organizing eco-tours and visiting wildlife reserves
Partnership and Network Project
Focuses on building collaborative relationships and networks among associations and others to address environmental challenges, promote conservation efforts, and advance sustainable development goals. This includes but not limited to:
• Participation in tree planting campaigns and distributing fruitful seedlings to farmers
• Launching sustainable hunting campaigns and advocating for the amendment of hunting law 580
• Following up on the issue of stray dogs.
